So, a noob member here, bit of an XS fan, but have only recently joined the cult. The cult membership fees are less invasive than the HD cult, and the lobby is smaller.
Jokes aside, i have been the collector of many badges and hats and certainly have the skills required for an XS500/400/360/250 XS650 swap.
While XS650 bikes in project condition are in great demand, and for a decent price, i cannot see one coming my way anytime soon.
The story gets worse, i recently aquired an XS250 with a spare XS250 frame, and got thinking what if i cannot find an XS250/360/400/500 engine? What else fits?
According to maths, just about any other parallel twin... within reason.
So without listing them all, one stuck out as a favourite pick. The simple and elegant, yet well proven XS650 engines have everything and leave little for wanting, say maybe except for another 400cc (which is definitely possible...)
Along the way to restoring the XS250 (ahem, and modifying it to become the 360) i came across listings, scammers and more, but found a supplier of XS650 engines and thus it began.
