That sucks!

Did the pistons or valves get damaged? Seems like the pistons would have slapped whatever ones were open when the sprocket broke.

Wow That's a failure. Where there lots of miles on the motor?

At the first look it looks like everything is fine No visible damage on pistons or valves.
Gonna take a closer look before reassembling. About 40000km / 25000miles on the motor.

Woho! The bike is up and running again Seems that all internal parts of the engine survived the camshaftsprocket failure. Now i just have to set up the carbs and deal with the front brake and it´s ready for the rest of the season
