XS Fork replacement/upgrade

Hi everyone, thanks for having me (I hope!).

I recently trashed the fork on my XS (it's a 250 frame with a 400 bolted in) and am looking for a replacement.

I did a search and found some information on forks that will fit, but I'm looking for some help in deciding on what to go with before I start ringing the wreckers.

I think the 250, 360 and 400 SOHC forks will fit. I've heard people talk about the rs125 forks pretty much bolting straight in, which would definitely be an upgrade

Cheers, yeah I found a replacement close to me on a local biker forum.

I tried tracking down the aprilia front end, but few and far between here!

Same problem in Canada. Lots on ebay but they're shipping from Germany or wherever.

I dont think my RS125 forks are huge upgrade...for me, it's all about the look... If you have skills, tools and machines, I would try some R6/Gixxer forks or stock forks with progressive springs, heavier oil etc.
