Hi y'all,

On my way in to classes today, shortly after a pothole, my bike started diving hard to the left. Almost felt like a flat. Pulled over and discovered my shaft pivot (holding the swingarm on) had shorn clean on the right side. Anyone ever seen this, and better yet, any repair tips? Already ordered a NOS OEM replacement.

Update: the replacement shaft is on its way. I've decided to just redneck a solution together for this - I'm thinking with appropriate hardware and enough washers, I should be able to bypass the need to order all 6 of those replacement parts, as getting ahold of them would be $$$. Will update with pictures.

Repair update: ordered a new shaft on eBay, arrived today. Roughly $50.

I pried the old grease fitting off the good end of the snapped shaft, and acquired another from work. Hammered out the old one with a punch, inserted the new one. I used a fender washer, lock washer, and nylock bolt in the order. Slotted right in. Filled with grease, and away I went.

I regret to say I didn't keep track of the measurement for the hardware I used, but I will say I walked into a home depot with my new shaft and had zero issue finding a nylon lock nut that fit.

Pictures below. Test ride tonight. Thanks all!
