I’m finally able to post this, it’s running good but just like a lot of vintage bikes, it seems like every time I’m about to take it out for its inaugural run, something else needs repairing, last week I did the fork seals and noticed the tire had dry rot so I replaced that, and today I noticed a big crack on my intake boot, labour of love that’s for sure. It’s a 1980 XS400 Special, bought it for $250 and everything was in totes, was bare frame when I started and it’s been 2 years in the making gathering parts and clearly the bike has decided it’s not ready for me to ride yet.
