Many people have been looking for the bit that goes at the end of the clutch cable. They are pretty much unobtainable and mine was looking like it might not last. I’ve managed to make one out of a bit of aluminium bar and thought you’d like to see. key was a cutting disc for ally for the angle grinder, took about 1 hr

A man after my own heart......................I make little bits like that all day long as the need arises. The most high requirement is the more expensive the part is the more I go for remaking it myself. It's a game to see how much money I can pay myself an hour by not buying the part. Getting pretty high though, one of the records is $2500/hr. when I used a 30 cent washer to recover an automatic transmission that was slipping heavily in 1 and 2. Fixed instantly and it was still running fine 20 years later when I sold the car. Every shop I took it to claimed the trans needed a rebuild. I've done the same to a Ford Focus too to cure slipping, that one cost me about $10.

When I couldn't find a replacement ignition module at reasonable price for my early DOHC Honda I made one using GM HEI ignition modules. $25 each instead of a part that cost $125 each and the replacement fires plugs at a .060" gap.
