Hi all,
I've got a puzzling problem. After a complete carb rebuild on my 1977 xs360 I was stress testing it. At first I took it on an easy in town ride followed by the freeway. Everything went awesome until about a mile from my house I pulled the clutch and rev'ed my engine up to around 10k. My lights dimmed (It was night time) and my engine died. Since I was going around 30mph I tried letting out the clutch to getting a rolling start, the engine sputtered and then nothing.

After pushing it home I found the ignition fuse was blown. Sweet! Easy fix! After replacing the fuses I still have no spark... I tested the coils and I get 22ohm on both. I"ll probably retest to make sure I'm doing everything right. Bonus information: The voltage regulator is not stock, it an after market regulator from the local auto parts store that the PO put on.

My questions are:
How was I able to fry my bike?
Am I right in assuming it's the coils?
What other trouble shooting steps should I take?

You guys are awesome! Thanks ;)
