Looks great, nice craftsmanship

Hilarious how close to tank seat is. Like you could jump forward over it

Chain slack looks loose? Maybe just the photo

Have fun riding it. Jealous of all the pertyness

My balls are definitely ON the tank. Although, partially due to my riding position. There is a little more room to slide back.
She's not the most comfortable machine. But that's not what this build is about.

Good call on the chain slack. I noticed it when taking that picture and adjusted it on the spot.

Looks sick man! I love the tank look, might steal that idea and put my own twist on it. What is the coating on the top end of the motor? I have been thinking about getting mine coated and I need to get into some research.

Also, how does your exhaust terminate? It's not shown in the pictures. What kind of top speed do you get with the v-stacks and exhaust set-up you have?

To be honest the paint on the top end (a high temp coating) is not holding up and is already peeling.
I need to do some further diligence myself and plan to repaint the motor and powdercoat the frame over the winter.

Exhaust single piped, then capped off with a dual R6 Toce pipe (see pic below).
I actually just installed a baffle insert, as it was way too uncomfortably loud straight piped.

Top speed is just shy of 75 MPH/ 120KPH

Greetings,
Good looking ride!! & I had a couple of questions...……...

1. Are those the stock wheels, or could you give us the wheel size & make?
2. Do you have any build photos? I'm mainly looking for how you got the tank to fit over that big backbone.

Thanks for sharing these.....

Nice ride.

This bike looks familiar, right down to the colors. Pretty sure a guy who was stationed in California or something built it.. actually saw it in one of those BikeEfix site. Im probably mistaken.

75mph!?! Either your gearing is wrong, or you arent tuned right. I can get 75mph in 4th gear, on my sohc.

You are right, guy from california made it, I think his name on instagram is L_i_u_c, he locked his profile now so you cant see building process pictures.

I like it. It would fit right in with any Hollywood Terminator movie.

Hope you got some screens inside the velocity stacks, that license plate placement is no way a guarantee that road trash can't throw up in carbs. I've watched the stuff (theoretical) go like under the plate and tire rotation then throws/bounces it up to bounce off the box forward just right and right into the carbs. Have seen semis throw rock off back tire hard angled forward, front wheel catches it to the bounce in opposite direction and right into your windshield. BTDT.

Hi I just got myself an 82 maxum 400 and am looking to do a similar build to yours was just wondering where you found the gas tank and how you made that seat?
