82’ xs400 maxim jet tuning

I’m planning on putting pod air filters and straight headers on my torn apart 1982 xs400 maxim, do I need to change the needles or anything besides the pilot and main jets?

Just now seeing all the comments about not running straight headers, should I run some sort of small muffler?
