Hey y'all, so my buddy and I were doing the exhaust on my chop last night and started talking about front end swap options for his CB700sc. Got me thinking about wheel options for mine, so I started digging into 19" 7 spoke mags on the front of my chop. I'll be going with the 80-81 xs850 front for uniformity with my 16" mag rear, but I found that an 80-82 kz1000 LTD used the same axle diameter (14mm).
Well I just so happen to have that complete dual disc front end in the shed left over from a part-out. So I tossed that front wheel the dirt tracker snow-roller project with stock (rebuilt a few years back) length forks.
Excuse the haggard "proof of concept" exhaust.
Throttle side spacer is stock kz1000
Clutch side is something I had laying around. Its not perfect, hence the offset.
The wheel has an electronic speedo, and has a male stud on the "centering" part of the speedo. Rotor engagement could be better, but you can make anything work with enough math and fab work
19" kz1000 7 spoke front
18" xs400 7 spoke disc rear wrapped in 5.10×18 Kinda 244.
