Hey guys, needing a new throttle cable for my 79 xs400, it has mikuni vm34 carbs on it, from what I seen mikes xs is out of stock, anyone know another place to get one? Would like to get the one with stainless steel ends instead of the plastic pieces

I’ve used a fuse tester on all the fuses that I know of to check, don’t have an ohm reader at the moment but I’m pretty sure my fuses are good. I even replaced the ones I could with new just to be on the safe side.

Ever figure anything out? I have no headlights, no speedo/dash, no spark, it’s like I’m getting no power at all

It’s all leds, I’ll add a pic of bike, it has a 05’ wr450 dirtbike front end so none of the factory Speedo headlight signals or anything are there

Should probably add I’ve traced wires/grounds to see if any burnt up, and I’ve checked all fuses I’ve been able to find

yes, to put it short I swapped the leads to the wrong terminals, but I’m getting no power whatsoever. Nothing to my dash/speedo, no light, horn, nothin. That’s what makes me geuss regulator/cdi, because power has been cut to everything

Rewired a new high/low and turn signal switch in, but I’ve also got a question, I’ve got a 79 xs400 and I’m wondering if anyone has a part number for the best iridium plug to use?

Are any wheels interchangeable for the rear? Getting a super moto wheel for the front to lower it down and level it a little, since it’s got the 05’ wr450f front end with a 21” wheel right now. Hey guys, recently bought a 79 xs400, the top end has been rebuilt and it’s been bored .50 over and has mikuni vm30 carb kit. Would I be able to go to pod filters without rejetting? Still new to motorcycles in general and haven’t messed with the carbs at all yet so any advice is appreciated
