    Starter issue

    Have a 1984 Maxim 400 that is only getting 7v to the starter. I have replaced ground and checked continuity. Any thoughts what could be causing this? Is it possible that the starter is bad? Is it possible that the starter clutch inside the motor is seized?

    Starting Problem

    Hey guys new here, I’m getting a 1984 Yamaha Maxim 400 from my brother this weekend and have been doing some research on it but can’t seem to find much. Is the XS400 the same bike?
