I can only do the float method with the one bowl. One of them has a stripped screw on the drain. I do have a clear filter and it's fuel level stays close to the top of the bowl. Not sure if that means anything.

I'm new to bikes myself, but I found I had to turn and rotate the battery box quite a bit to find an angle that it would come out. First move once unbolted was to move it back a bit to get the mounting ears out of the way.
