man im having a hell of a time trying to post pictures. The guy i got it from had it painted that color is like a candy apple I have a different tank now and pretty much just slapped some paint on it so i could take it for a ride not sure what color i want yet
Hey my name is Josh im 22 live in MN work as a med/heavy truck mechanic. I have 81 xs400 I have posted some stuff about it already but never had an into so here it is,and this is how my build is going.
this is what i did to lower my seat i bought some round stock dont have a bender either so i just left it straight wielded it on and it worked good,yeah a little bend would look good in there but what do ya do with limited tools and cash
thanks for the posting of the wiring diagrams helps alot i was not sure if i was gonna be able to figure it out but once i started it was pretty easy i thought about buying that ebay thing but im glad I didnt. Check out the bag of wires i was able to get ride of:thumbsup:
this is what I did for mine its made out of an old stop sign and i mounted my voltage reg and rectifier on the back side and the ignition box sets right next to the battery and im planning on cover it all with sheet metal on the side and have ingition switch come out they. mines not a cafa racer...
